The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Perceptions of the Cross

The Message of the Cross

The message of the cross, while preached to all, is not received and believed by all. In this message we look at the different perceptions people have of this message; for Paul said, "We preach Christ crucified; to the JEWS a stumbling block and to the GREEKS foolishness, but to those who are CALLED, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God."

From Series: "The Message of the Cross"

The message of the cross is the power of God unto salvation. In this series, we explore three aspects of this message: the person who hung on that cross, the price that He paid on that cross, and the different perceptions that people have to that message.
