The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Wise Men Seek Jesus

Sunday Morning Message

The visit of the wise men to see Jesus did not occur on the night of Jesus' birth, but it was certainly connected with what happened that night. There is much we can learn from the visit of these wise men from the East concerning the coming of this newborn King of the Jews, how His coming fulfilled Old Testament prophecies, and how differently people reacted to His coming.
