The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

The World Always at War

The Book of James

The world is always at war over something; this is true even among believers. Wars, fights, arguments come from sinful desires for pleasure within us. We have the resource of prayer, but too often we ask amiss; not to honor and serve God, but to bring ourselves personal pleasure. Friendship with the world and all it offers, puts us at enmity with God. But, God gives more grace to those who humble themselves.
