The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Jesus' Compassion for Sinners

Knowing Christ

We live in a world that is on a downward progression, both morally and spiritually (2 Tim. 3:1-5). How do we respond to the things we see happening around us? In particular, how do we respond to those engaged in sinful lifestyles? This morning, we look at how our Savior interacted with and dealt with those considered the worst of sinners, noting His compassion for them and His desire to see them be saved and come into a relationship with God through Him.
