The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Christ in the Word

Knowing Christ

We begin looking at how we can come to know Christ in a deeper, personal way. This requires spending time with Him and communicating with Him, through prayer and through time in His Word. We consider the importance of having a grasp of all of God's Word seeing that it is all inspired of God and profitable for our spiritual growth, and that it all reveals the person and work of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
