The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Jesus' Dealings with the Opposition

Knowing Christ

This morning, we look at how Jesus' dealt with those who stood in opposition to Him and to the truth of God's Word. While He refused to compromise the truth and did not hesitate to point out hypocrisy and false teaching, our Savior still ministered to the needs of those who opposed Him, even those who sought to destroy Him. As we live in a divided world today, believers can learn from the example Jesus left in how to deal with those we disagree with or even those who oppose the work of the Lord.
