The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

My Eyes Have Seen Your Salvation

Sunday Morning Message

When Joseph and Mary brought the Child, Jesus, to the temple to present Him to the Lord, they had a fascinating encounter with a man named Simeon; a man who had been waiting for the Consolation of Israel; a man who had been told by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. In this message, we look at what happens when Simeon sees the Child, Jesus, in the temple, and what he is used of God to say concerning what Jesus came into this world to do (Luke 2:25-35).
