The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

Law vs Grace - Part 1

Dispensational Distinctions

Another important dispensational distinction that must be made in order to understand the Scriptures is between Law and Grace. God placed Israel under the covenant of Law at the foot of Mount Sinai. This law consisted of the 10 commandments, the judgments, and the ordinances. The very components of the Law make it clear that God never gave the Law as a means by which men could be made righteous before God.
