The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

One Thing is Needed

Sunday Morning Message

In Luke 10:38-42, we find Jesus teaching a key lesson about what is most important in our lives as believers. We see this illustrated in the lives of two sisters: Martha and Mary of Bethany. While many things seem to demand our time and attention, Jesus makes it clear that "but one thing is needed."
