The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Love One Another

What the World Needs Now is Love

Throughout Jesus' earthly ministry we see Him moved with compassion to help people: healing all manner of disease and infirmity, casting out demons, reaching out to those in need to help them. He commanded His apostles to do the same--to love one another as I have loved you. We can apply this principle in our own lives in this age of grace. It begins with loving one another as fellow members of the Church, the Body of Christ. We find such instructions to love each other this way in the 12th chapter of Romans.

From Series: "What the World Needs Now is Love"

We live in a world that is divided over so many issues: a global pandemic, racial equality, moral issues, social issues, politics, and religion. The divisions have become so intense that the world seems filled with envy, jealousy, enmity, and violence toward one another. Few treat others with respect, kindness, or love. Love is clearly the greatest need, but not the type of love the world thinks of. We need the type of love that comes only from God. This series deals with why type of love is missing from the world, where it comes from, and how it should be shown by those who know God through Jesus Christ.
