The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the greatest event in history; it is the central theme of the Scriptures; it is the crisis point through which God’s eternal purpose of redemption was accomplished. It is imperative that we study and know about this critical event in the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In this series, we examine one particular aspect of the crucifixion: the 7 statements Jesus made while He hung on the cross. These statements, which were uttered during the greatest event in history, are clearly significant. We will look at the order in which the statements were made, the situation and purpose for each statement, and the insight each one gives us into the mind and heart of our Savior as well as the reason that He died on that cross.

These Bible messages were preached in 2020 by Pastor Gregg Bing during the morning worship service at Grace Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

The Power of His Resurrection - Toward Us

Knowing Christ

When Paul expressed his desire "that I may know Him," he identified three areas that he particularly wanted to know: 1) the power of His resurrection, 2) the fellowship of His sufferings, and 3) being conformed to His death. This morning, we begin looking at the power of Christ's resurrection and how that power works "toward us" to give us victory over sin, death, and Satan.
